BCRG is a not for profit, community based organisation located in central Bankstown.  We provide a range of services to children, families and the community.

Our services include early childhood intervention, speech pathology and occupational therapy services for children 0-12years, literacy programs, a playgroup for children with an Aboriginal background, support & information for families looking for childcare in the Bankstown LGA and much more.

Some of our current programs include:

Helping Children with Autism

BCRG is providing individual and group based occupational therapy and speech pathology programs specifically tailored to the needs of children with diagnosed autism spectrum disorders.  These programs are funded by the Federal Governments “Helping Children with Autism Package”.  To be eligible, your child must have a diagnosis of Autism disorder, Asperger’s Syndrome, Rett’s Disorder, Childhood Disintegrative Disorder or Pervasive Developmental Disorder and be registered with an Autism Advisor.

BCRG Kids Clinic

BCRG Kids Clinic provides assessments and individual speech pathology and occupational therapy services for children 0-12 years.  Kids Clinic is a fee based service and some families may be eligible for Medicare or private health insurance rebates for these services.

Speech Pathology Assessments and Group therapy

BCRG is funded by NSW Ageing, Disability and Home Care to provide speech pathology assessments and therapy to children attending a child care service in the Bankstown LGA.  Our speech pathologists will assess and support children and work closely with families and the child care centre to enhance a child’s communication skills.

Community Development — Activities for Children

BCRG provides fun activities and community events that help promote child development, child protection and celebrate the diversity of children’s skills, abilities, interests and wellbeing.  Go to our website for the latest information about upcoming events.

Services for the Aboriginal Community

BCRG runs a supported playgroup in central Bankstown for families of aboriginal heritage.  Aboriginal families with children aged 0-5 are invited to attend on Thursdays from 10.00am to 1.00pm.  The playgroup runs in school terms and includes excursions and outings.
