Family Day Care provides accredited high quality care for children from birth to 12 years of age, care is provided in the homes of registered carers.
Family Day Care, children are cared for in small groups, in the carer’s own home. The carers are selected, trained & monitored by the qualified staff of the Family Day Care Co-ordination Unit. Carers comply with the standards set by Government Regulations & the policies of the Co-ordination Unit.
The staff of the Co-ordination Unit manage the scheme, monitor care, provide support visits & training to the carers, along with up-to-date information to encourage the provision of quality childcare. Families using Family Day Care Scheme may be eligible for a Government subsidy, CCB which can be applied for through Family Assistance offices.
Did you know that some Family Day Care, Carers are willing to provide part-time care & full-time care. So if you need child care while you work, study, or have time just for you – why not talk to the Co-ordination Unit staff, as they may be able to help you.
