Create a safe, secure and trusting environment
Cann Street Learning Centre is focused on providing high quality care and development for children and this is reflected in the quality of our staff and our adherence to the staff regulations and national quality framework principles as well as the Early Years Learning Framework.
We encourage staff and families to be involved and provide feedback on the policies and procedures we have in place as part of the continuous improvement program.
Our centre program is based on the EYLF (early years learning framework). The EYLF is one that builds upon the interest of the children. Topics for the study are captured from communication of the children, through community or family events as well as the known interest of the children.
The most important aim of the program is to help the children become enthusiastic learners. The EYLF provides a safe and secure environment in which the children can build their confidence and independence and develop positive attitudes to learning.
The program includes various learning experiences e.g. sand, water play, language time, dramatic play, music and movement, games, art and craft and many more.
