Earlwood Preschool is a preschool licensed for 29, 3-5 year old children daily.
Being conveniently located in the centre of Earlwood at 5 Joy Lane Earlwood,
it is in close proximity to both Earlwood Public and Our Lady of Lourdes Primary Schools.
Opening hours are 8am-5pm Monday-Friday (excluding public holidays), 48 weeks a year. Closing 4 weeks over Christmas.
Families have access to both Childcare Benefit and Childcare Tax Rebate.
Earlwood Preschool provides a school readiness program, led by a team of highly trained and experienced staff, in a warm, safe and caring environment where each child is valued as an individual. The program reflects a child centered approach to learning, which caters for the total child in all aspects of their development .Observations, discussion with children and families and reflection is the basis for planning the total environment and learning experiences for all children.
Under the guidance of skilled teachers children are encouraged to explore, experiment and make choices throughout the day in order to become active seekers of knowledge in preparation for further life experiences.
Family is the most important aspect of life for the child, and so at Earlwood Preschool, staff plan to work as a team with families to meet the individual strengths, emerging skills and interests of the child.
Families within our centre come from many backgrounds bringing with them a wealth of knowledge, skills, ideas and experiences .We welcome and encourage them to participate within our program in whatever capacity they feel comfortable.
Throughout the year opportunities are provided for families to come together at community events such as Family Disco, Fathers Day Breakfast, and Art Gallery Night. These are great events where families are welcomed into our preschool community and have opportunity to meet other families.
We encourage active involvement of families in the management of our preschool and all input is welcomed and valued to help us maintain the high standard of education and care for all the children within our preschool program.
