We understand how anxious you as parents may feel to leave your child in care outside the family home. We would like to help you make an informative decision about choosing a child care facility so here is some information about our centre. Please feel free to contact us to organise a time to see our beautiful centre and discuss your child care needs.
We aim to provide high quality care within a soothing and home like environment that the child feels safe and secure in. The result of the child feeling this way will allow for education and learning to occur.
We aim to provide quality care and education by working with families and providing 1-1 attention for your child. We will achieve this by arranging children in the learning environment that best suits their development and in groups of no more than 20 children. This allows children to have their needs met in a calm and soothing environment and with a care giver that really understands their level of development. Working closely with families allows us as carers to implement an environment which is an extension of the home.
Staff and families work together to benefit the child.
We have allocated the following learning environments:
NURSERY (Turtles) - This room caters for 12, 0-2 year olds with 3 staff which provides a 1-4 ratio which is higher then regulation of 1-5. The nursery has a separate indoor area for play and learning. A separate kitchenette and bathing and change area is provided to ensure the room is well equipped. The room has an intercom system to allow staff to verbalise needs if required.
THE TODDLER ROOM 2-3 YR OLDS (Little Penguins) - caters for 16 children with 2 carers holding a 1-8 ratio. The service has its own play area and separate outdoor area. A dining room is provided to ensure children eat meals in a hygienic environment where nutrition and etiquette are discussed. Intercom also provided.
THE 3-4 YR OLDS (Manta Rays) - Caters for 20 children and has a separate indoor learning environment and outdoor area. A separate dining area is provided to ensure a hygienic environment. Intercom is also provided. This age group focuses on a more basic pre-school programme in preparation for the following year.
THE 4-5 YR OLDS (Dolphins) - Caters for 20 children with a more advanced pre-school programme which assists in the transition to school. The room also has a separate dining area and intercom in the room for staff.
The centre also has a kitchen where all home cooked meals are prepared by our trained cook.
A separate administration and meeting room are provided for your convenience of paying fees, viewing records and reading centre information.
All outdoor areas have a soft fall layed which is rubber flooring that provides insulation for children's safety while playing outdoors and running.
Intercoms are provided to allow staff to seek assistance if needed as we have a floater which is a spare staff member on at all times to assist staff. The staff do not need to answer phone calls or take part in the administration duties. This means staff are there for your children and only concentrate on them.
Play is children's work!!!!!!
