Welcome to The Tree House Early Childhood Centre. We are a new purpose built child care facility, catering for children from 0-6 years. We are open from 7.00am to 6.30pm.
We have an ongoing commitment to provide a service of the highest quality. Our service goal is to create an environment where both children and parents feel happy, safe and secure.
The staff at the centre strive to create an environment which has each children as their top priority. Their immediate response to the ever changing needs of families in the community shows their professionalism and excellence as part of the child care industry. You will find them to be flexible, innovative and always willing to assist you in any way possible.
We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our centre. Please feel free to drop in and see us or contact us for more information.
We believe that all children are individuals and therefore we endeavour to create an atmosphere in which the children feel secure and happy whilst we cater to each child's unique wants, needs and interests.
Our centre will strive to provide quality child care which supports families by providing a warm, stimulating, safe and caring environment, where children are free to grow and develop to their potential, and in their own uniqueness.
We believe that each child's development is unique and opportunities must be provided for the child to grow socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically, creatively and spiritually.
We understand that in order to make both children and their parents feel comfortable, we must provide a secure, safe and well-supervised centre at all times.
We believe all children have the right to be valued, respected and protected, and that each child brings to child care an exclusive set of capabilities. By interacting with others and valuing themselves, we believe they will also value and respect others.
We understand that within our culturally diverse society all people have the fundamental right to differing opinions, attitudes, life-styles and customs. We will endeavour to respect all of these differences and provide care accordingly.
We understand that the best way for a child to learn is through discovery and that this is best achieved by providing ample opportunities for extended play. Our programming is therefore based upon individual needs and interests.
We understand that as Early Childhood Educators we all have differing philosophies, attitudes, values and life-styles. We shall strive to communicate openly with one another in order to inform and provide the best team possible to care for your child. We believe that a child's opportunities to explore the environment should not be limited by gender-based stereotypes and all activities are offered to all children.
We recognize and respect the special relationship between children and their families, and strive incorporate a parental perspective when interacting with our children.
We recognise Early Childhood as a unique and valuable stage of life and accept that each phase within a child's development is important in its own right.
Programs
Our rooms have the following names:
Infants 6 weeks to 1 year Infants 1 year to 2 years Toddlers 2 years to 3 years Kindy 3 years to 4 years Pre School 4 years to 5 years
Each room in the centre has a set routine which covers approximate times for activities such as meals, nappy changes; sleep and so on. Routines will vary from time to time according to the needs of the group and individual children. Please feel free to discuss the routine with the staff, we are happy to incorporate your child's routine into our day.
The room leaders in each room are responsible for planning an early childhood program which encompasses experiences which are developmentally appropriate and emerges from the children's observed interests. Staff observe each individual child on a regular basis recording these observations and using them to develop individual objectives for each child.
These are then incorporated into the overall group programme of activities for each child. A wide variety of early childhood curriculum and developmental areas are provided for within the indoor and outdoor play environments including cognitive, physical (gross and fine motor), social and emotional development, language and literature, art and craft, music, science, maths and numbers, drama, movement, dance and construction.
